Personal training in Winchester, KY
Personal training, clinical exercise and post-rehab conditioning with Bobby Stewart, M.Ed., of MedFit PT, at our Winchester office. Sessions are booked on the phone, separately from chiropractic visits.
What personal training is
Personal training is exercise with a coach who plans it around you. Instead of guessing what to do, you work with a personal trainer who looks at your goals, how you move and where you are starting from, then builds a program and adjusts it as you get stronger. Bobby Stewart founded MedFit PT in 2016 to focus on medically guided exercise and post-rehabilitation conditioning. His programs are tailored to each client’s needs, goals and fitness level.
Who personal training can help
Personal training isn’t only for athletes. It can be a good fit for:
- People who are new to exercise and want a clear place to start
- People coming back after an injury or a course of chiropractic care
- Seniors who want to build strength and balance for everyday life
- People with a goal, such as weight loss or getting ready for a sport
- People with low back or neck pain who want to stay active
- Anyone who wants structure and someone to keep them on track
A personal trainer for your goals: Bobby’s focus areas
Bobby works with people who want to get stronger, move better and stay active. His focus areas include:
- Post-rehab conditioning after an injury
- Low back and neck pain
- Balance disorders
- Fat and weight loss
- Functional capacity conditioning
- General wellness and personal fitness training
What a program covers
Every program is different, but personal training usually includes:
- Goals and movement: a talk about what you want to work toward and a look at how you move now.
- Strength: exercises for the muscles you use every day, from carrying groceries to climbing stairs.
- Mobility: stretching and movement work to help your joints move more freely.
- Conditioning: work that builds stamina over time.
- Progression and accountability: exercises that change step by step as you get stronger, with a coach who keeps track of your progress.
Personal training and chiropractic care
Chiropractic care and exercise can complement each other. At Winchester Chiropractic, active therapies (personalized exercises and stretches) help strengthen muscles, improve flexibility and support long-term health. When you are ready for longer-term exercise, you can work with Bobby at our office. Training with Bobby is booked separately from chiropractic visits. If you are being treated for an injury, ask your chiropractor when it’s a good time to start.
